Pastor Ron Opmeer
Ron studied at UBC (BA in Religious Studies) and then at Regent College for
ministry training (M’Div.). He was ordained at Grace Community Church in Surrey in 1991 and served at a church in Alberta for 20 years until coming to Abbotsford in 2012.
Ron’s ministry highlights include working with musicians and singers on Bethel’s worship teams, leading Alpha inspired dinner courses, and seeing others use their spiritual gifts to serve in the Name of Jesus Christ.
Ron is the current president of the Reformation Canada Network of churches (www.reformationCanada.ca) and is co-chair of the Abbotsford Christian Leaders Network organizing team.
Other pastimes include walking, driving old cars, and spending time with his family. He is married with four sons, a daughter-in-law, and a grandson.

Jared Sumner
Jared is Bethels Intern Pastor and is serving Bethel from May to august of this year. Jared is passionate about the Church and is working on his BA in Biblical Studies with a minor in church ministry at Columbia Bible College.

With a desire to see renewal in the local and greater Church Jared is an asset to our team and is excited to be working here this summer!

Jared loves to accompany people in there walk with God wherever they may be. From his work at summer camps to his time leading at Columbia Jared its obvious that Jared loves people and wants to see them grow in there faith.
